Pastor’s November, 2019 Letter« Back to Letters
Dear friends, we have been looking at eleven important components of Christianity during our 10:00 am worship services on Sunday mornings. These important characteristics have been put into the following acronym to help us remember each important trait: “B.I.G. R.A.M.S. F.A.N.S.” Each of these letters stands for an important principle that should be a part of a Christian’s life. Thus far we have looked at: (1) B-BRINGER: Be a bringer or an inviter. Don’t keep the Good News to yourself. (2) I-INSPIRE: Inspire others to imitate you as you imitate Jesus Christ. (3) G-GIVER: We are never more like Christ than when we give. Give of our finances, our time, etc. God set the example when He gave His Son. (4) R-RELATIONSHIP: Every Christian should have a growing and vibrant personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Our experience with God is not meant to be a dry, formal, religious ritual-but rather, it’s meant to be a living, and fresh personal relationship. (5) A-ATTENDER: Be a faithful attender to church services. Don’t just attend but participate. (6) M-MINISTRY: We get saved to serve. Jesus was a servant. We can’t remain spectators. Plug in someplace where you can use your God-given gifts. There are five more components on our list for the coming weeks. God desires to have a personal relationship with every believer, so we need to turn our attention to how we can foster and grow in our relationship with God. Every relationship must be tended to and invested in if it is to grow and be all that it can be–including our relationship with our Lord. Spend time reading His Word and in prayer. Meet with other people of like faith to draw encouragement and help. Listen intently to the Word as it is being preached. Put into practice the Word of God. God bless you and make you a blessing.
